Choosing a chair and table
Choosing a chair and table
Choosing a quality office chair is not easy at all. However, it is one of the first things you should consider when arranging your workplace. In any case, focus mainly on seating comfort, not design, and only buy a chair labeled as ergonomic. Only an ergonomic chair will guarantee you healthy and correct sitting. Always try the chair out in person. A specialized salesperson should be able to present the chair to you in detail. Don't be afraid to ask questions and let them show you how everything is used and adjusted, so that you can get as much information as possible about its ergonomic properties and be able to adjust the chair correctly yourself.
A CHAIR IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF FURNITURE FROM AN ERGONOMIC POINT OF VIEW.
The design of the work chair must be stable and suit the body proportions of the user who will use it, especially in terms of shape and size. The chair must be adjustable according to individual needs.
A quality ergonomic chair cannot do without:
- adjustable seat height and depth
- adjustable backrest
- adjustable armrests
- synchronous mechanics enabling dynamic sitting (i.e. optionally adjustable backrest pressure against back pressure)
You will also appreciate:
- a headrest, preferably adjustable in height and angle
- an easy-to-clean and non-slip chair cover material
It meets all ergonomic principles and absolutely everyone will be thrilled by sitting on the ergonomic Freedom chair from the American manufacturer Humanscale, which you can configure and have made exactly according to your requirements, either in one of the high-quality upholstery fabrics we offer or in leather. You can choose the seat and armrests with Duron filling or the version with highly ergonomic and moldable Technogel. This chair has rightly won many world awards. Its quality is also evidenced by the fact that the structure and piston have a 10-year warranty and the other components have a 5-year warranty.
Another important step in arranging a workplace is choosing the right desk. The most important criteria are the height and sufficient size of the work surface. If the desk is not height-adjustable, the desk top should be approximately 72 cm above the floor, or slightly lower for smaller women. When sitting, the height of the desk top should be the same as the height of your elbows. The forearm and upper arm should form a 90° angle, which also applies to working on a PC while standing.
THE IDEAL SOLUTION IS A HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE TABLE.
Furthermore, care must be taken to ensure that the front edge of the table has a rounded edge without sharp edges and the table surface must be matte, as a shiny surface reflects light and makes work more difficult. The height of the worktop and the space for the lower limbs must allow the user to have a comfortable working position and stretch their legs.
